Winds will be predominantly out of the northwest tonight into Wednesday though they will become lighter between 9 AM and Noon. Winds could even shift around from the southeast between 9 AM and Noon, though confidence in this occuring is much lower than the continued north wind in the forecast below. Either way, winds will be relatively light. Thunderstorms will develop over the Pikes Peak region around noon and could impact the area during the afternoon and early evening. Erratic gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph could occur near thunderstorms and wind directions will likely be erratic and highly changeable through this evening as thunderstorm outflows interact and push well away from thunderstorms as they roll off into the I-25 corridor and southeast plains. Rainfall amounts anywhere from a trace to up to 0.3 will be the most likely outcome if storms impact the area. However some of the stronger storms could produce over 0.5 of rainfall particularly to the east of the fire area. .REST OF TONIGHT... Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy(36 percent). Drier air should help to reduce coverage of showers and storms today, with only a low chance (~20%) of rain at the burn site this afternoon. Light winds may become variable early in the morning before becoming established out of the south to southwest into late morning and the early afternoon. Light flow remaining less than 10 mph will result in Poor to Fair smoke dispersion. Above normal temperatures are forecast, and a Moderate to Major HeatRisk will affect those without adequate cooling and hydration. There are no critical RH concerns today with minRH values falling near 50 percent. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (20-30 percent).
