Dry conditions will continue into the weekend with a warming trend causing afternoon highs to approach 10 degrees above season averages on Thursday. Throughout tomorrow, a pattern change will shift the prevailing winds out of the northeast, allowing drier desert air to push into central California. Minimum RH will fall to between 10 and 20 percent for the next few days, with the lowest values occurring Thursday. Meanwhile, the winds will gradually increase from the northeast, especially the 20 foot and surrounding ridge winds. There is a 50 to 60 percent chance for wind gusts to exceed 30 mph on Thursday which increases to 90 to 100 percent on Friday. The combination of dry air and stronger winds across the higher elevations of the local area has led to the issuance of a Red Flag Warning which includes the Lake Isabella area. Winds will gradually subside into the weekend, though minRH values will remain at or below 20 percent. .THURSDAY... Sky/weather.........Sunny (0-5 percent). Max temperature.....83-86.
