While there will be calmer winds over northeastern SD this afternoon into the evening, there will be stronger winds over central SD as the frontal boundary moves in, with southeasterly winds gusting up to 15 to 25 mph. Minimum relative humidity values this afternoon will be between 45 to 55 percent. There is a slight risk for severe storms to develop over central SD this afternoon and evening, with hazards of lightning, wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph, 1 to 2 inch hail, and some heavy rainfall. The winds will calm slightly overnight before the southwesterly winds picking up over northeasterly SD Friday morning, with gusts up to 20 mph and decreasing during the afternoon. Relative humidity values over northeastern SD will be in the 45 to 55% range in the afternoon as there will be some showers and storms possible during the morning and during the afternoon and evening. Central SD will see relative humidity values decrease more through the day, falling between 30 to 45%.
