Gusty north-northwest winds will slowly decrease through today. Winds become light tonight as they turn around to the south. Gusts of 25 to 35 mph quickly develop Saturday morning, with isolated gusts as high as 40 mph possible in higher elevations. These stronger winds and relative humidity as low as 30 to 40 percent may produce localized elevated fire danger, especially in cured grasses and cropland. Temperatures remain cooler than normal today, but a warm-up begins on Saturday with above normal temperatures expected to dominate much of next week.
