A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island Sound...

  Coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Englewood FL out 20 NM...



At 826 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located

near Gasparilla Island, moving northwest at 15 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.

For the following areas...

Delaware Bay waters north of East Point NJ to Slaughter Beach DE...

Delaware Bay waters south of East Point NJ to Slaughter Beach DE...



At 843 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts

were located along a line extending from 6 nm west of Bowers Beach to

13 nm west of Slaughter Beach to 21 nm east of Miles River, moving

east at 15 knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



Locations impacted include...

Brown Shoal Light, Fourteen Foot Bank Light, Slaughter Beach, Cape

Henlopen, East Point, Bowers Beach, Miah Maull Light, Brandywine

Shoal Light, and Cape May Point.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

was located near New Baltimore, moving southeast at 25 knots.



The strong thunderstorm will be near...

  Mt Clemens Harbor Of Refuge, New Baltimore, and Metro Beach 

  Metropark Marina around 855 PM EDT.

  St Clair Flats Old Channel Light around 900 PM EDT.
