Through 5 AM, widely scattered showers will move westward at 15 to 20 knots across the Florida Keys and surrounding coastal waters. Most of the activity is located across the surrounding coastal waters of the Florida Keys, especially the Straits of Florida waters. These showers will be capable of wind gusts to near 25 knots, and reduced visibility within pockets of moderate to heavy downpours. The stronger activity will be capable of briefly developing into isolated thunderstorms with gusty erratic winds and brief bouts of lightning. Select island communities could pick up to a tenth of an inch of rainfall. $$
