At 1201 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Riverbend, or 9 miles southeast of Superior, moving northeast at 30

mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around

         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

  Superior, Riverbend, Tarkio, Lozeau, Quartz and Stark.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening

weather conditions.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

and southeastern Ferry Counties through 1145 PM PDT...



At 1115 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19

miles southwest of Chewelah, or 42 miles northwest of Spokane, moving

northeast at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Chewelah, Fruitland, Cedonia, Gifford, Hunters, and Inchelium.



This includes U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 205

and 214.
