...TYPHOON CHAMPI MOVING WEST-NORTHWEST AND APPROACHING GUAM...



Typhoon Champi (29W) has just entered the range of PGUA WSR-88D

NEXRAD. Champi is currently moving west, at 280 degrees, at around 16

mph. Eyewall diameter is approximately 20 miles, with a slight wobble

observed in NE and SW peripheries. Champi remains a category 1

typhoon as it is approaching Guam coastal waters, currently about 245

miles east-southeast of Guam shores.
