Nearshore Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor... Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid Lake... At 712 PM CDT, NWS Meteorologists were tracking a thunderstorm capable of producing northwesterly wind gusts up to 30 kt and small hail. A waterspout cannot be ruled out, as well. The thunderstorm was located about 15 miles east of Lake Forest and was moving south at 35 knots. In addition, a front was moving south along the Lake Michigan shore to the west of the thunderstorm. A northerly wind shift with gusts up to 25 kt may occur with the front away from the thunderstorm. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
