The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Cheyenne County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...
  Southwestern Morrill County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...

* Until 815 PM MDT.

* At 734 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Courthouse
  And Jail Rock, or 31 miles southeast of Scottsbluff, moving south
  at 30 mph.

  THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR SOUTHWEST MORRILL COUNTY AND 
  NORTHWEST CHEYENNE COUNTY.

  HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. 
           Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, 
           siding, and vehicles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Potter, Dalton, Gurley, and Brownson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to shelter inside a strong building, and stay away from windows.

This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather
including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and
tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior room, a
bathroom, closet or basement.
