...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN CHEYENNE AND NORTHWESTERN RAWLINS COUNTIES IN
NORTHWESTERN KANSAS...

At 802 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of
McDonald, or 10 miles west of Atwood, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Spotter report of 1 inch hail 8 north-northwest of McDonald 
         at 8 PM CT

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Atwood, McDonald, Blakeman, and Beardsley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This thunderstorm is producing accumulating hail, which will make
driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be
aware of rapidly changing road conditions.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
