...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM MDT
FOR EASTERN CHEYENNE AND EASTERN KIT CARSON COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL
COLORADO...WALLACE...NORTHERN GREELEY COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL KANSAS
AND SHERMAN COUNTIES IN NORTHWESTERN KANSAS...

At 712 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 11 miles southeast of Bonny Reservoir to 6 miles south
of Ruleton to 8 miles north of Weskan to 10 miles north of Towner,
moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...12 miles north of Burlington, CO an automated station 
         reported 61 MPH winds at 7 PM MT

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

These severe storms will be near...
  Ruleton and Weskan around 715 PM MDT.
  Goodland and Sharon Springs around 725 PM MDT.
  Wallace around 740 PM MDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Edson
and Arapahoe.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 0 and 30.
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 433 and 450.
 Highway 385 between mile markers 136 and 206, and near mile marker
211.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

These thunderstorms will produce strong winds resulting in areas of
near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must
travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility.

This thunderstorm is producing accumulating hail, which will make
driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be
aware of rapidly changing road conditions.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
