Very low humidity with little prevailing wind remains over northwestern NM today and Friday. Dangerous heat in the low 100s is also on tap each day thru Saturday for lower elevation areas. Temperatures cool heading into next week alongside an increase in humidity recoveries. Otherwise, daily rounds of scattered afternoon thunderstorms continue to favor areas along and east of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and southern mountains of NM each afternoon, moving out over the eastern plains as they lose strength and coverage late afternoon and evening.
