...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT ...THE SOUTHEASTERN CITY OF
NORFOLK...THE NORTHEASTERN CITY OF CHESAPEAKE AND THE NORTHWESTERN
CITY OF VIRGINIA BEACH THROUGH 815 PM EDT...

At 731 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Regent University, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail, and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Virginia Beach, Regent University, Norfolk, and Chesapeake around 
  735 PM EDT.
  Kempsville around 740 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Greenbrier, South
Norfolk, Oceana, Portlock, Princess Anne Plaza, Oceana NAS, Gallups
Corner, London Bridge, and Pungo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
