Extreme Fire Conditions Continue This Evening. RFTI's of 8 currently observed at the Lipscomb mesonet are expected to continue for at least a few more hours. Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph will likely continue through about 7 PM before coming down in the 10 to 20 mph range and turning from 7 PM to 10 PM. Dryline may retreat west over the burn site prior to the cold front around 10 to 11 pm tonight. Should that happen, expected a surge of winds out of the southeast 15 to 25 mph before the front moves through (20% confidence in this happening). Initial north wind surge on the back side of the cold front is expected to be 20-30 mph, and gust 40 to 50 mph for the first hour or two, then winds should be 15 to 25 gusting to 35mph overnight. Winds will still stay breezy all the way through about 1PM on Tuesday before gradually relaxing around 10 to 15 out of the east and northeast. Weber .REST OF TODAY...
