Widespread rainfall moves through the region today with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 1/2" to 1" across the area. Locally higher amounts up to 2" cannot be ruled out (10-20% chance) for areas south of I-90. Winds increase for Friday morning and afternoon from the northwest with sustained winds at 15 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph. Temperatures will remain below normal through Saturday with highs generally in the 40s and 50s. Minimum RHs will generally remain above 50 percent through Friday, however they will fall to between 35 to 50 percent for Saturday with some increase in winds to around 10-20 mph from the southwest which may result in elevated fire weather conditions, particularly if minimum RHs fall lower than currently forecasted.
