...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR SOUTHERN MOWER COUNTY...

At 631 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported numerous city streets
are completely flooded with manholes becoming displaced. Interstate
90 at 11th drive is closed. Between 4.5 and 7 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
         areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Austin, Adams, Rose Creek, Dexter, Mapleview, Elkton, County Roads
  56 And 5, Varco and Riverbend Campground.

This includes Interstate 90 in Minnesota between mile markers 175 and
194.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
