Fire weather concerns remain low through the period due to green fuels. High temperatures are forecast to be back on the warming trend into the weekend. Minimum relative humidity is forecast to be around 35 percent to 55 percent today, then 25 to 45 percent on Friday. The lower afternoon humidities are in the southwest. Very hot and dry conditions are expected this upcoming weekend. Again, the lowest relative humidities will be in the southwest, but they will be much lower. Lowest relative humidities will drop to around 15 to 25 percent south and west of the Missouri River on Saturday and 12 to 20 percent on Sunday for the same area. Winds through the weekend are expected to be southerly, 10 to 20 mph Saturday afternoon, 15 to 25 mph Sunday afternoon, with gusts up to 30-35 mph during max heating. Daytime highs of 90 to 100 are forecast Saturday, and 95 to 106 Sunday. The hot and dry conditions are expected to continue into early next week.
