Winds over western North Dakota turn southerly today, increasing to 15 to 25 mph, while over central North Dakota the winds will be lighter, turning southerly later in the day. Minimum relative humidity values drop into the 20s over far southwest North Dakota, which will combine with the winds to bring near critical fire weather conditions to the area. The remainder of western North Dakota will mainly see minimum humidity values in the 30s to lower 40s, with mainly 40s over central North Dakota. On Saturday, warm temperatures are expected with highs mainly in the mid 60s to mid 70s, with a southwesterly wind around 10 to 20 mph. Humidity values drop into the teens to lower 20s over southwest North Dakota, mainly mid 20s to mid 30s elsewhere. This may lead to another day of near critical fire weather conditions over parts of southwest North Dakota. Sunday will see cooler temperatures in the wake of a cold front which is expected to pass through overnight, with highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s.
