pose a significant threat to boaters.

western New York...and the adjacent waters of Lake Ontario.

For the following areas...
  Lake Ontario Open Waters from Olcott to Hamlin Beach...

At 706 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 12 nm northwest of Sunset Beach to 12 nm northwest of
Hamlin Beach, moving north at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
         suddenly higher waves.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
