Scattered showers and thunderstorms are ongoing across South- Central Montana and Northern Wyoming. Widespread lightning is forecast with these storms in addition to locally heavy rainfall. Strong wind gusts of 60 mph and hail 1" in diameter are also possible with the strongest storms. Over the coming hours expect an increase in storm coverage across South-Central Montana eventually pushing eastwards into SE Montana and NE Wyoming with all the same hazards expected. High temperatures this afternoon will peak in the low 90s for much of the region with Min RH forecast to reach the 20s % in south- central MT and in the 30s % elsewhere. Recoveries tonight will see RH values rebound into the 60s % with lows in the 60s. Hotter temps are forecast Thursday with widespread upper 90s for highs. RH values will bottom out in the teens and 20s for the entire area. Even hotter and dryer conditions are expected over the weekend with widespread tipple digit highs and teens to single digit RH values. Recoveries overnight wil be poor.
