An area of showers is beginning to lift north into southern Montana and will begin approaching the fire area over the next hour or so. Showers and thunderstorms remain possible through the afternoon and evening, decreasing after 0300 MDT tonight. Thunderstorms will be capable of gusty and erratic winds to 40 mph and heavy rainfall. Breezy southeasterly winds will continue through the afternoon, becoming more southerly this evening. A low level jet sets up over the fire area this evening, shifting to the east overnight. This will bring breezy winds in the evening, before decreasing overnight. Moderate RH recoveries can be expected. Northwest winds will prevail for Sunday as another disturbance moves into the region. An associated cold front will push through during the late afternoon and evening bringing another round of showers and thunderstorms.
