north central Ohio...and the adjacent waters of Lake Erie.

For the following areas...
Nearshore and Open waters from The Islands OH to Avon Point OH...

At 440 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Western
Vermilion, moving east at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Western Vermilion, Lorain Harbor, Vermilion, and Avon Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
