...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN PORTAGE...
SOUTHWESTERN MAHONING...STARK AND SOUTHEASTERN SUMMIT COUNTIES
THROUGH 315 PM EDT...

At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Massillon, or 7 miles west of Canton, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Canton, Massillon, Green, Alliance, North Canton, Louisville,
Sebring, Hartville, Navarre, Canal Fulton, Randolph, Atwater, East
Canton, Beloit, Meyers Lake, Hills And Dales, Limaville, Greentown,
Maple Ridge, and Maximo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
northeastern Ohio.
