Scattered thunderstorms should be expected from 21z to 04z for all areas east of the I-25 corridor for both today and Thursday. There is some severe potential with these storms especially in the Panhandle where there is a little bit more moisture to work with. However, the lower levels look to be pretty dry increasing the dry lightning potential especially in the eastern section of our Wyoming counties (Niobrara, Goshen, and eastern Laramie). Winds are expected to be erratic underneath the thunderstorms and showers. The thunderstorms have a higher chance of punching through the dry layer in the evening period for increasing chances of a wetting rain in the Panhandle. Thursday looks to have a little bit better moisture but still not the best chances for a wetting rain. Friday and through the foreseeable future an upper level ridge will build over the Intermountain West to dry us out and give way to possible Red Flag conditions. Temperatures are expected to increase into the 90's and some areas hitting into the 100's. Widespread RH values below 15 percent can be expected for all of Southeastern Wyoming and portions of the Panhandle. Under the ridge winds are expected to be marginal until Sunday afternoon. Sunday through next week a shortwave is expected to move across Canada giving us gusty winds developing a rather combustible environment.
