FNUS75 KCYS 080518 FWSCYS Spot Forecast for Milepost 172...BLM National Weather Service Cheyenne WY 1118 PM MDT Tue Jul 7 2026 If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service at (307) 772-2227 .DISCUSSION... The showers have dissipated for tonight and a nocturnal inversion should be setting up in the early morning. This inversion may be strong enough to limit smoke dispersal in the early morning but will quickly erode away once sunrise begins. Around noon to 1 pm today some showers will be forming off a boundary that may give some rain chances to the Milepost 172 area. Gusty winds are expected underneath these showers with erratic wind gusts up to 45 mph possible. The more severe storms are expected to be further south in Platte and Laramie county this afternoon. However, very small accumulating hail may be possible if these showers over perform. Winds should remain rather light today between 5 to 10 mph with winds picking up after 5pm as the switch to a more easterly wind this evening. .REST OF TONIGHT...
