High temperatures in the inland valleys of Trinity, Mendocino, and Lake counties will rise into the 90s today, with mid to upper 90 degree high temperatures are expected to be more widespread by Thursday afternoon. Daytime relative humidity values will drop into the teens and 20s, accelerating the drying of forest fuels. Winds will remain light and follow typical daily terrain patterns, with afternoon upslope breezes peaking along mountain ridges. A shallow marine layer will maintain cool temperatures, overnight fog, and excellent humidity recovery along the immediate coast.
