No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time. Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of critical thresholds. With wet soils in portions of east and central Georgia, patchy fog will be possible in the early morning hours in areas the received rain yesterday afternoon and evening. Rain chances will be comparatively lower today, with isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms (15-25%) being confined to the far northwest corner of the state. Winds will be S/SE, peaking at 6-10 mph. Wind speeds are anticipated to be highest to the north of I-85, and east-central Georgia in the late afternoon after the sea breeze works its way inland. Transport winds will similarly be S/SE, increasing to 10-15 mph. Minimum RH values are forecast to range from 45-55% to the north of I-85 and 35-45% to the south. Mixing heights are forecast to peak between 5.5-6.5 kft in the mid to late afternoon. Largely dry and benign weather conditions are expected to persist on Tuesday, with rain chances of 10% or less across the forecast area. Minimum RH values will range from 35-45%.
