...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Cherokee, northwestern DeKalb, Cobb, northeastern Fulton and
southeastern Bartow Counties through 400 PM EDT...

At 329 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Marietta, moving east
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, up to penny sized hail, frequent cloud 
         to ground lightning and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of 
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary 
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Atlanta, Marietta, Mountain Park, Peachtree Corners, Sandy Springs,
Roswell, Alpharetta, Smyrna, Dunwoody, Kennesaw, Woodstock, Acworth,
Powder Springs, Chamblee, Doraville, North Decatur, Fair Oaks, North
Atlanta, North Druid Hills, and Druid Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
