Hot and dry conditions will continue into the weekend with highs near 100 degrees and afternoon minimum RH values around 30%. Southerly winds will become breezy this afternoon and tonight and may elevate the grass fire threat especially west of I-35. These conditions will continue into Saturday. By Saturday night, a weak frontal boundary will sag south and rain chances will increase by Sunday continuing through Tuesday. While it won't be a widespread heavy rainfall, rain chances will be higher than they have been in a while. Areas that don't pick up any rainfall will continue to see a threat for grass fires into the latter part of next week.
