Issued at 1036 AM MDT Fri Oct 16 2026 COOL AND DRY THROUGH THE WEEKEND: With high pressure driving the forecast, sunny days, clear nights, and dry conditons continue through the weekend. A Freeze Warning remains in effect tonight for parts of northwest Colorado and CO Zone 23 in southwest Colorado with another night of sub-freezing temperatures expected. Most locations within the Freeze Warning also saw a hard freeze last night. Otherwise, seasonable to seasonably cool daytime temperatures highlight the forecast through the weekend. UNSETTLED WEATHER RETURNS NEXT WEEK: The next chance for impactful weather comes next week as a low pressure system traverses the West. Ahead of this system, southwesterly flow will begin to direct moisture towards the region as early as Monday. As a result, isolated convection is possible over the southern Mountains early in the week. By mid- week, an uptick in synoptic forcing could increase the coverage of showers and storms across the region. It's too early to pin down the potential hazards associated with this system, but expect increasingly unsettled weather as the week progresses. && .AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z SUNDAY/...
