Critical fire weather conditions are not expected through the weekend as relative humidity is forecast to be above 20% across the area. The flow is also forecast to remain somewhat weak, likely limiting winds below 25 mph in the absence of storms. Wind direction may vary quite a bit though even without storms, so be careful if dealing with any fires. Lightning sparked fires remain possible today and tomorrow, but recent and expected rain have likely lowered the chances slightly. Be alert for strong wind gusts above 60 mph and blowing dust with visibility below a mile with storm outflows. There is a 30% chance areas in northwestern Kansas may receive 1-2+ inches of rain over the next couple of days. The higher precipitation amounts will be localized, but most of the area will see some rain which may further help keep fire danger lower.
