Northerly winds are forecast to continue through the day Monday with sustained winds around 15-20 mph gusting 30-40 mph. A stationary wind shift line may (40%) set up near Kansas fire zones 27, 28, 41 and 42 where winds would be southwesterly with temperatures in the 80s and humidity falling into the upper teens to low 20s resulting in elevated fire weather concerns. If this does occur then blowing dust may also develop with visibilities less than one mile possible. A 60% chance the boundary sets up south of the above mentioned counties and fire weather is not a concern. Wind gusts are still forecast to increase to around 40-50 mph during the late afternoon/early evening however. Some showers and storms may impact Colorado fire zones 252 and 253 during the afternoon as well Monday. Should a fire start especially across eastern Colorado be aware for near freezing to freezing temperatures into Tuesday morning. After Monday, RH values look to remain in the 20s and above, minimizing fire weather concerns. Additional rounds of storms are forecast throughout the week in the afternoon hours.
