...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN RAWLINS COUNTY
THROUGH 1100 PM CDT...

At 1046 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles north of McDonald, or 13 miles southeast of Benkelman, moving
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern
Rawlins County, including the following locations... Beardsley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

This thunderstorm is producing minor accumulations of hail, which
will make driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must
travel, be aware of rapidly changing road conditions.
