Though timing could vary, mariners in the Galveston Bay area should see the strongest storms in the 10pm-3am timeframe, Matagorda Bay midnight-5am, and the Gulf waters midnight-6am. Strong wind gusts above 30 knots, lightning, heavy rain, and chaotic seas are possible in and near the stronger cells.
