High temperatures in the 60s and low 70s were observed all over the state amid mostly clear skies in the west and cloudy skies in the east. Northerly winds were noted as well, which kept daytime temperatures cooler than normal. Low temperatures tonight will dip into the low 40s and upper 30s across the northwest three-quarters of the state, while the southeast corner will see lows in the 50s due to abundant cloud cover. Light showers and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder will be possible across southeast Kansas through the night as well, while light rain chances return to far northwest Kansas. Temperatures will remain cooler than normal for Wednesday with many parts of the state seeing afternoon highs in the 60s. Low chances for rain will return to portions of far southwest Kansas, though most of the area should remain dry under partly to mostly cloudy skies. $$
