Winds were light and generally out of the east. Surface high pressure will build southward across the central plains tonight. Meanwhile thunderstorms are expected to develop over western Nebraska and northeast Colorado this evening. This activity will then travel slowly eastward towards central sections of Nebraska and Kansas during the overnight hours. Lows tonight will range from the low 60s in northern Nebraska, to the mid 70s in central Oklahoma. There will be some lingering showers and storms over central parts of Kansas and Nebraska Sunday morning. Some of this activity will spread slowly eastward into northeast Kansas by the afternoon hours with the rest of the region remaining dry. Daytime highs will range from the cooler 70s in eastern Nebraska to the hot 100s in central Oklahoma. $$
