A few of the strongest storms across central and south-central Kansas may be capable of 50 to 65 mph winds, small hail, and locally heavy rainfall. Heat indices this afternoon will range from 100 to 105 degrees across south central and southeast Kansas. The highest values are expected in far southeast Kansas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Off-and-on thunderstorm chances are expected to persist Friday through Saturday night. While widespread severe weather appears unlikely, a few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, along with locally heavy rainfall. Stay tuned as we refine forecast details in the coming days.
