...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS...

  Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 
  NM...
  Coastal waters from Murrells Inlet to South Santee River SC out 20 
  NM...

At 950 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
over North Inlet Reef, moving north at 5 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Ten Mile Reef, Winyah Bay Sea Buoy, Murrells Inlet Sea Buoy,
Georgetown Nearshore Wreck, North Inlet Reef, Georgetown Reef,
Paradise Reef, Pawleys Island, and Litchfield Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. If caught on the
open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and 
your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets. A special marine 
warning may eventually be required.
