  Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20
  NM...
  Waters from Little River Inlet SC to South Santee River SC from 20
  to 60 NM...
  Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60
  NM...

* Until 130 AM EDT.

* At 1240 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near Sunset Mid Shelf Buoy, moving
  northeast at 15 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gary Ennis Reef and Sunset Mid Shelf Buoy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions.
