Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening south of I-70. Severe thunderstorms are not expected today, however, some storms could produce locally heavy rain and frequent cloud to ground lightning. Moderate flooding continues along portions of the Illinois River near Havana. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. A cold front will slowly move through the area Thursday and Friday bringing the next round of more widespread showers and thunderstorms. There is a marginal (level 1 of 5) to slight risk (level 2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms Thursday, especially in the late afternoon through overnight hours. Additional thunderstorms are possible Friday and Saturday, however, the severe risk is uncertain at this time.
