...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern Breathitt County in southeastern Kentucky...
  Northwestern Knott County in southeastern Kentucky...
  Northeastern Perry County in southeastern Kentucky...

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1201 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory
    area. Between 0.5 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
    area. This additional rain will allow minor flooding to continue.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Elmrock, Vest, Buck, Bearville, Decoy, Yellow Mountain, Vail,
    Talcum, Soft Shell and Ary.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
