Through 2 pm, isolated showers will wax and wane across the distant 
Straits from near Elbow Cay and westward. Additional showers will
attempt to move in from the Old Bahama Channel. These showers will 
move west northwest at 15 to 20 knots. The stronger activity will 
attempt to develop into brief thunderstorms, especially across the 
Straits of Florida. Mariners can expect brief blinding downpours, 
wind gusts near 25 knots, and brief bouts of lightning.
