In addition, a few showers have developed across the nearshore waters surrounding the Island Chain with the potential for an occasional shower to affect a couple island communities as they continue moving northward. Mariners encountering this activity can expect blinding downpours reducing visibility, wind gusts to near 25 knots, and occasional lightning strikes.
