...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN IBERIA...SOUTHWESTERN ACADIA AND NORTHERN VERMILION
PARISHES...

At 814 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Klondike to near Avery Island, moving south at 25
mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. At Acadiana Regional Airport a wind gust 
         of 76 mph was recorded.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
New Iberia, Abbeville, Kaplan, Gueydan, Mermentau, Avery Island,
Forked Island, Erath, Delcambre, Maurice, Morse, Riceville, Meaux,
Esther, Wright, Acadiana Regional Airport, Jefferson Island, Indian
Bayou, Coteau, and Lyons Point.
