Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today, ahead of a cold front which will push southeast across the area through this evening. A few strong to severe storms may occur mainly south of a Pontiac to Valparaiso line this afternoon. Dry, breezy and cooler conditions can be expected Wednesday and Thursday in the wake of the cold front. Afternoon highs in the 70s today, daytime temperatures will generally range from the 50s near Lake Michigan to the 60s well inland both Wednesday and Thursday with onshore winds off of the lake also limiting mixing heights there.
