A cold front will pass through the region today, bringing a shift to northerly winds first to the southern TX Panhandle early this morning, then the South Plains and Rolling Plains by about midday. Winds will then strengthen through the rest of the day with sustained north winds of 15 to 25 mph expected this afternoon through tonight.
