Very hot temperatures continue across the region resulting in minimum RH values near 15 percent through the next several days, falling as low as 10 percent on Sunday and Monday. Relatively light winds near or less than 10 mph should keep the potential for rapid fire spread relatively low today, but south-southwest winds are expected to increase to 15 to 20 mph on both Sunday and Monday afternoons which will result in elevated fire weather conditions over most of the region. Scattered thunderstorms may also result in strong and erratic winds this afternoon and evening, but thunderstorms currently appear less likely on Sunday and Monday.
