(Tonight through Sunday) Issued at 1040 PM CDT Fri Aug 21 2026 A strong upper ridge will continue to persist across the area. Mild overnight lows in the 70s remain expected. Subtle height rises will allow for temperatures to increase even further Saturday and the Heat Advisory has been expected to include Lubbock. A weak shortwave will move over the area by evening.
