Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

Broad high pressure will continue to strengthen while pushing 
further offshore today. Spotty showers and thunderstorms remain 
possible, especially west of the Blue Ridge this afternoon and 
evening as another wave of energy passes through. A strong cold 
front will bring more widespread showers and strong thunderstorms 
to the area Wednesday into Thursday. Behind this system, 
temperatures cool with continued on and off rain chances into the 
weekend as the front stalls nearby.
